Information about the Debts Recovery Tribunals (DRT)

The Government of India has passed the special act 51 of 1993 in the Parliament of India to establish the Debts Recovery Tribunals. The Government has decided to provide the relief for the expeditious adjudication and recovery of debts due to banks and financial institutions by giving out the DRT. The DRT is known as the one of the appellate authority that has rights to file the appeals against all the creditors under Sub-Section (4) of Section 13 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act 2002.
