Mizoram University is well known as the MZU located at Mizoram. University comes into existence on 2-07-2011 by the Mizoram University Act, 2000. This act is included into the Gazette of India on 25-04-2000 as a Central University. In the start up the university has only 7 departments but as the time goes the university become a full grown tree with the 28 departments. University has 27 under-graduate Colleges including 2 professional institutions giving out the excellence education to the 8279 candidates across its network.
